PlayStrong is a kids’ self-defence system based in Porthcawl, South Wales, centred around building skills through play.
We use fun, task-based games to help children aged 4–14 develop self-defence skills, social skills, and confidence.
No standing in lines, no listening to long lectures — just lots of exercise, fun, and learning that works.
Our Approach...
We use a modern, science-based approach to skill acquisition, where children learn by exploring, experimenting, and adapting.
Instead of repeating boring drills over-and-over, or standing in lines and punching thin air — we use meaningful play that develops self-defence skills naturally.
We understand that a curated and challenging environment is the most effective teacher, and so our kids learn to move well, think quickly, and stay calm
